Do a search on headphones, both here and on the main site. There are really plenty of threads and articles on the subject.

Greetinx and good luck with your choice.

I use the Allen & Heath Xone XD-40 as my backup.

69€ here in Germany, should be fine.

They are loud, have a great sound but only 40mm driver – not so much bass and they isolate not so good (too loose even on small heads), and they have a built-in cable (coiled).

If you need headphones for your bedroom, small clubs & bars, they will do it. If you need a good isolation, really heavy bass and other things, its time to double the budget and get something like sennheiser HD-25.

P.S. You should hear/test the headphones if possible. My shop here has 30 days moneyback service, so i had enough time to test them.

I think there are one or two headphones in your price range that get high accolades from a lot of readers (I think Terry knows which ones I mean). The don’t have the limitations that the previous poster describes I believe.

The Sennheiser HD25-IIs are, for me, the absolute top of the bill. Suitable for studio and live sound and DJ-ing. Everything single part can be replaced. You can choose from different cable types (coiled, straight). The aluminum anniversary edition looks extra sharp imho.

Bought mine several years ago, the travel squashed in backpack or microphone flightcase and I don’t see ever getting new ones.

BUT … they are close to 200 euro here (which in USD would be more like 250 I think), so 3 times your budget rather than double. It’s an investment I never regretted.

    Greetinx.

You can pick up a pair of Audio Technica ATH M-50 on Amazon for about $100, amazing quality for both Dj-ing and studio applications, well worth the money. Comfortable, the earcups have alot of flexibility in motion, they isolate very well and fit to any head shape. You can check out any review on youtube.
