Depends who did the refurbishing. If it’s the manufacturer you will usually get some kind of factory warranty on it. And you know the right people tested and prepared the unit.
There are third party refurbishers that consider polishing the unit and sticking it in a shiny new box qualifies as refurbishing.
I would be ok getting the first kind (often DOA units that went back, had their defective parts swapped, were tested and sent back out). The second kind, not so much.
It always depends on the financial bonus you get for taking the extra risk. Is it substantial enough for you. Or do you prefer spending the extra bucks to be void of any risk for the first two years (legal warranty period at least here in Europe)?
Third option would be buying used. Bigger bonus financially, but clearly a much higher risk factor.
