I am guessing (based on my own experience with an iDJ Pro) that Numark uses switching power supplies that determine the input voltage levels themselves. My power adapter actually came with a clip-on bit where the socket prongs are, so they can be exchanged to fit european variations, us or uk for example.

Worst case is you might have to order a UK power adapter thru spares. Question then is does the discount of getting it in the US outweigh the cost of the extra adapter. But again, I do think the same adapter should work in both US and UK.

No doubt someone on here with a MixTrack Pro can have a quick look at his/her power adapter and tell you.

Other than that I don’t think there is much difference between a US and a UK model. Some brands (like Denon for instance) might include different software depending on the region (Denon has VDJ LE with the MC6000 in the US I believe and Traktor LE in Europe).

    Greetinx,

    Chuck

I think the mixtrack pro is actually USB powered, so in terms of power supply and adapters that should be all good.

Was wondering if there were any regional locks like you said with any of the softwares or programmes included

    Cheers

Yep, I saw that. USB-powered indeed. So scratch that bit. I am assuming you are talking about getting the MT Pro 2. Can’t find the original on sale here anywhere anymore. The 2 seems to come with Serato DJ Intro. Pretty much it is all irrelevant since you’ll always get an LE or intro version of software with it. And with prices going down (Full Traktor for 40 euros or something on sale now), you can just get the controller and buy the software.

And the software it comes with should, in my opinion work, regardless of where you purchased your equipment.

    Good luck,

    Chuck

I’m actually just sticking with the original MT Pro. I think you’re just paying an extra 100 for a newer looking design.

The software of the one I’m planning to get has Serato Intro, but states it can be upgraded to the full version (probably not for free).

Either way, I’m going to go for it – I will be in the US to install it, so should be no problem

    Thank you for your help
