    Ive been using Macs for well over 15 years now, not just for audio (I am a graphic artist) and i can honestly say since OSX came along (OS9 was pretty bad) I would not touch anything else. I run a 6 year old Macbook Pro and apart from needing a bigger HD (getting the odd audio glitch where i have less than 20% drive space left) it has no issues running Serato on my Terminal Mix for me.

     

    They may be more expensive than a PC, but sooooooo much friendlier. You will not regret it Jamie.

    my windows laptop i had before had a problem with the screen/graphics,,it was split into six different little screens, and it was old so i ditched it, ,somehow on my new laptop, im sure there has been a hardware fault develop.   i managed to install 64bit windows on it,,as the 32bit disk kept hanging,,but no good,,,still got the same lagging and slowness..

    my desktop however has been running well for years,,i ditched the oem version of windows vista,,for windows 7,,and only reformated once since then,i play online games on a gaming platform called steam,

    well i need to get a new laptop,,im kinda feeling down about it,,i cant even bedroom dj,,(home practice) ,,i kinda wish i had some cdjs,,

    first thing you need to do is download and run memtest (needs installing on disk and boot order changed to boot from cd).
