Yes of course you can use your Mixtrack Pro. Don’t worry about the other DJ’s; this is your gear and you are going to rock with that. And remember your are playing for the audience, not for the other DJ’s. So I wouldn’t worry about that. Besides you can make awesome mixes with the Mixtrack. Its a very good controller.

If the location you are going to play has a PA ( soundsystem ) you probably going to need rca to XLR or rca to TRS cable. The rca for your Mixtrack and the TRS or XLR for the PA. But best thing is to check this in advance. You don’t want to get there to find out you don’t have the right cables.

Fair chance that rca-rca might work (especially if you only have to go a small distance). Do NOT use any included cables (my experience is that they are about as good as those that come with your home hifi CD-layer (which means not suited for the road), but get a good quality cable from a music/pa/dj store.

    Good luck and greetinx,

As a mixtrack pro 2 user, be sure and have good headphones, ones that get loud on your MTP2 and that also isolate the outside audio well.   At my last gig, the cue output on the MTP2 was not near loud enough for the second half of the night when I was giving all my Sansui 6060 had to give…. LOL  A club with a decent PA would have been even worse I think.   Granted, I have cheap headphones, and am going to remedy that shortly,  but the headphones I have are plenty loud on an analog mixer…..   Just something to consider, as during the best/loudest part of the night, there were times when cueing was almost imposible, and I had to just try to get it close, drop it on the one and judge it fwd/back a little as I quickly faded to the new song…. not horrible, but also not as good as it could be…. I have not yet tried my workaround, running the headphones through my mixer to “amplify” the cue output of the MTP2, but will be sorting that out before my next “big” gig….   Just my .02 as a Noob, and user of the MTP2.   I’m sure anyone would tell you, good DJ headphones are a must, no matter what you play on, be it Mixtrack, DDJ-S?, Denon MC?000, or CDJs/TTs and a DJM…… but just thought I’d tell you that you should think about it…          Moonshadow
