Stay away from Seismic Audio brand speaker stands.

Here in Holland K&M are pretty much ‘defacto standard’. Available in various price ranges. I have tried many other brands, but few last a long life on the road (some don’t even survive one night without knobs breaking off or screws not catching.

I agree on K&M, it is the best bang for the buck and they last long. Just make sure that you get the heavier ones as they will be easier to setup and not wobble when someone bumps into them.

Thanks, guys.  I’ll take a look at the K&M’s too.

Quick question since we on sepaker stands, how one exactly mount a speaker into the speaker stands? Do you like drill the hole at the bottom of the speaker? I’m looking for a speaker stand for my Monkey Banana Turbo6, yet have no slightest clue on how to mount it or what to look for in the stand so it will fit naturally to the speaker

Speakers made for PA work usually have a (35mm) hole in the bottom to mount them on a stand. If not, there are platform that you can stick to the top of your stand, put the speaker on and then tie them down with a strap.

Alternatively some speakers have holes for screws on the bottom that you can screw an adapter to that allows it to sit on the stand.

Typically studio monitors would have neither (like the TBs and the Rokits).  There is a good reason for that, not suited for the road.

So, if you are looking at a permanent stand for practice/studio use, get some good quality monitor stands. If you plan on going on the road with them, get some PA speakers.
