    Good questions.

I am sure someone on here has something intelligent to say about the unit.

Not sure I would put Behringer in a semi-pro category, but that is just my personal opinion. The same holds true for companies like American DJ, which doesn’t mean they make good stuff at very attractive prices! I’ve played on ADJ stuff for years when I decided to get some gear of my own again about 10 years back. It worked, the price was right, just not semi-pro. I’ll admit it does depend on your definition of semi-pro 🙂

Sorry no hands on time yet on the Behringer gear. But Phils reviews are mostly spot on in my experience.

I read Phil’s review and he mentions more about the three modular devices rather than the actual controller and while the overall review is positive there are perhaps a few little things to be wary of.  I use a behringer uca222 with Mixxx at the moment and have had no problems with that configuration (although I am really new to djing and finding my feet).   The behringer hardware is quite rugged.  I also have a behringer xenyx mixer and a guitar amp modeller, again all pretty rugged.  It appears that this contoller has all the features and more of professional gear but it appears very low cost.  It has a 4 output soundcard and 8 hotcues on each of the four decks, which seems over and above other decks that are considerably more expensive.  I just wondered what the difference in build/features was compared with something like a traktor S4 mk 2, which is 315 dollars compared with over 1000.
