    Hi Hank.  I will check that out (at work at the moment). I mainly play House/Prog House, but the most recent mix I put up to soundcloud (in my siggy) was what I call “breaks”….it has a couple of  D&B tracks in it, but they are not dark, rather they have piano breaks.

    I really enjoyed playing it so I will do another one.

    I also notice there are not many decent tracks on beatport/djtunes to do more like I did in that mix…will keep looking 🙂

    Jay Cunning is one of the best breaks DJ’s around 🙂

    It’s funny, I don’t know him at all but we were both featured in iDJ magazine at the same time (may 2001), he won the readers mixes and I was runner up. He has since went on to be one of the biggest breaks DJ’s and label boss of the highly regarded Sub Slayers record label. As for me, well if you read my post in “introduce yourself” you’ll know what became of my DJ career.

    I do chat with him on twitter and stuff, but I don’t know him personally.

    Heres a drum and bass mix a put together recently using some vinyl and mp3’s , for some reason i decided to use the crossfader instead of just the volume faders which i normally do,  this resulted in levels dropping considerably when bringing into the mix no idea why !?     Yeah I liked that, not a bad mix at all. A bit more jumped up than my own sets but still good. Plus ‘Tonight’ is one of my favourite tracks ever!

    hey guys – I created a group on soundcloud called breaks 2014….no idea about groups but thought I would start it and see if it actually gets any members with almost no (just this) publicising 🙂

    Anyway – breaks and d&B and stuff… feel free!!!!
