    Hello

I can’t really comment on the Punjabi vs Hindi music since none of it is played in Denmark. But it’s not so uncommon that the person that booked you for a mobile gig changes his/her mind regarding the choice of music during the gig. In that case I always try to accommodate the new wishes as much as possible, because when it’s a mobile gig I basically think of it as playing for the people that booked me

Regarding volume I always try to keep it as low as possible for the occasion. Someone will always want the volume at a different level than it is, and some may tell you, so don’t feel bad about it. I consider it a succes if more people want it higher than lower. In any case I normally adjust the volume when requested, regardsless if they want it’s higher or lower, and then slowly return it to the appropriate levelover the next few songs

… and congratulation on a first gig well done, BTW 🙂

    Best regards

Indeed Klaus is right. A mobile gig you play for the guys that book you, so you have to be way more flexible than in a club environment.

Regarding to volume it depends on the crowd and reading the majority of the people is more important than listening to the few that have the guts to come to you and tell you what to do… so reading the crowd is a skill you need to get good at.

You really need to determined before the events, if your existence there to rock the place or for just some background music purpose ?

That’s where you can adjust the volumes accordingly
