Being a mobile DJ you are gonna want to do a simpler setup.
I suggest going the powered route…all the speakers have their own amps and if something goes wrong you only have to replace the 1 speaker oppose to your entire setup being down.
Now in my opinion i like to use the rule of 50w per person…so ideally you want at least 5k watts. Now some would say thats overkill but really you dont want to be pushing a smaller setup to the max the entire time. By having that bigger system you will be able to keep your sound balanced your entire night…as well nothing is worse than having your sub shutoff due to the limiter kicking in.
With a powered system you will be daisy chaining your sound. Out of your controller into your monitors then to the subs, this also is a lot simpler than having to deal with crossovers etc.
