Chris Hülsbeck – Symphonic Game Music Concert – Turrican II Main Theme
Epic, nobody knows it, has a happy overtone and sounds like a theme nobody has heard before.
Hard to get the album nowadays though.

I’d love to hear some Wagner symphony on this occasion, but people might not get the irony. 😉

Lol… Wagner at weddings is a big no no. Too bombastic for the ladies.

I was thinking of something a little more gentle and soothing!

Found the Chris Hülsbeck track btw Terry_42. I like it, but not suitable for this one.

    Any other suggestions please?

If you like even more chilling I would go for either:
Electronic: Brian Eno – Music For Airports (some very nice chilling tracks on there)
Classic: Some Vivaldi Intros are most chilly and still “happy” sounding.

Richard Strauss’ “The Blue Danube” (Wikipedia link, guess you already know it well, but an excerpt available for listening there). You’d want to use a smoother and slower rendition of this song, you’ll find many of ’em on the used CD market for a dollar or less…
I freakin’ love Eno’s “Music for Airports”, but i guess that’s a little too mellow and melancholy for such a happy occasion.

    *edit*
Just realized Terry_42 is from Austria, so he should already hate the “Donauwalzer”. 🙂

I like to use Average White Band “Cut The Cake” to get everyone’s attention and give the bride & groom and photographer a chance to get to the cake and take pictures. Then I use The Beatles “When I’m 64” for the actual cake cutting. I talk the bride and groom through cutting the cake…usually have the groom make the first cut and have the bride make the second cut and pull the cake out then make a joke about how guys can never get the first piece of cake out right…

The couple wanted Sugar, Sugar by the Archies then I followed up with Love & Marriage (Frank Sinatra) and When I’m 64 (The Beatles). They were delighted.

Hungry Like The Wolf, into Pour Some Sugar On me, topped off with Flo-Rida “Sugar”.

Throw in some samples from the Oompa Loompa song from Willy Wonka.
