Are you releasing your own tracks? Part of a good label that does good marketing? Do you have your own recognizable style?

My production isn’t at a standard for me to be self releasing or be signed to a label as yet. I have been getting loads of promoters interested in my mixes and booking me for nights, just struggling to get fans on all of my pages.

If you’re getting bookings, then you’re doing fine. That is what the end goal is.

How much are you utilizing gigs though? Perhaps give out CDs, or toss out cards with a web address to free stuff? Maybe invest in some cheap “swag” to toss out to the crowd?

Gigs will get you fans. Keep playing and make sure those who come know where to find you.

This is also interesting to note. Bigger numbers don’t always mean you are doing better

Facebook is about conversations and relationships and engaging content. Look at your FB page from the point of view of somene who may have heard you once, and then visited it. You need to ask yourself, whats going to keep them engaged and wanting to have what I say appear in their news feed? At the moment your content is mostly mixes and promotion of shows. It’s fine to have that, but you need to balance this with a mix of other stuff which is on brand for you. Be interesting, entertaining. Don’t just repost anything which you think is cool, make sure it is also relevant to your brand and what you do, and which lets us learn more about you as a person as well as a DJ. Social media is a two way conversation, but A lot of your posts feel like announcements. Asking questions is a simple way to get the conversation started. At the end of the day, remember your content is competing with all the other great interesting content put there. Good luck!

Look at how Deadmau5 engages his fans. He posts something, people respond like crazy, and thus he has that engagement.

I’ll tell you, a DJ with a total of 200 fans, but they actively post, share, respond, etc…is going to do way better than a DJ with 1000 fans, but only 30-60 people who really get involved on the page.

The end goal is to make them “your peeps” so they all come out every time they see your name on a flyer, or they’re telling bigger promoters to book you when they’re looking for fresh blood.
