    Well I played in a few, the thing is the very diverse audience. So I tried to go through a few smother genres like belearic, deep, soul, italo-house and even some more non electronic tunes to smooth things around.
    I found what works great for example is Brian Eno: Music for Airports and Elevators 😛

    Think about Volume control, do you play it loud or is it barely audible, if its loud then think about turning it down way down.

    Bit like when i went into a cloths shop the Music was pounding song selection was great and i had the urge to do some feet shuffling but if i started that I would have been escorted of the premises by Security.

    I am starting to see more and more clothing stores that either have music blasting or a resident DJ at the mall. Granted, I am not a mall rat so I might not be as “hip” on that department but every time I go into an A/X it’s like a Tiesto’s Clublife podcast.

    Haha yea ive seen that at a victoria secret party when me and my gf went for some shopping. i liked some of the song but kinda weird hearing club music in a lingere store…

    What i’d always imagine for a coffee shop would be some smooth jazz and lounge.

    Chillout with a little bit more energy. Some less energy Indie dance will also work. Yes, no club music!
