oh no thats the worst thing that can happen to a person 🙁 I will try my best to help you in your dire situation

Do you know if you had set a recovery state on your computer? by that I mean a point where you made a copy of your exact computer on that date saved on your computer for problems like these so you can roll back to that date when you made your recovery save state.

If yes try doing that, if no try this

Restart your computer and boot it in safe mode, once in safe mode look again for the folder.

Let me know if any of it works

I’ve used recuva (http://www.piriform.com/recuva) once with good results when I deleted most of the contents of an external hard disk before copying them to my computer… Might work for you too

I used Recuva also, it found a whole album that i deleted apart from one song that was corrupted.

Whatever you do, do not let your computer-OS perform any hard-disk “clean up” or defragmentation until you find your lost folder. Search for a good “file-recovery” program – I cant suggest any because there have been years when I last used one so I dont know what works nowadays.
If all else fail, unplug your hard disk from your computer and go to computer-freak friend or a shop – 99% of the times the tech freaks working there will have a way to recover most of your lost files.

Good luck! 😉

get data back – either 32 or 64bit.
and DO NOT – i repeat DO NOT write any data to the hard drive, or partition where the music was. If you have to – go buy a new small HDD and reinstal OS there. Then plug the HDD where the songs were and recover with get data back.

Build a time machine, travel back several weeks, backup your data.
Yeah, that might sound a bit cynical, but everyone should take this as a cautionary tale. Backup your data, folks. Do it frequently.
Because mistakes like this can happen to everyone. Also, your hard drive will crash one day. And if you don’t have a backup copy somewhere, you’re kinda screwed.

And get Backblaze, cheap, fast, no worries about losing data.
