    how about a touch screen?

Hmm. I think this is mostly practice. I just tried it and looked at what I do:
    – When performing I rarely ever look at the laptop, what would I need to know there? My tracks are loaded my samples are loaded… My controller tells me the rest.
    – When loading stuff I put the playlist window in fullscreen and scroll. I do not look at the controller, because 90% is done with 1 jogwheel
    – When scratching I only look at the waveform on the laptop, my hands find their way on their own

So I have no problem where to look etc… as in those examples.

It’s just something that takes time. The more used to it you get, the more natural it will feel and you’ll stop having to look… It’s just repetition.

Really, though, once you’ve loaded the song, you needn’t look at the screen unless you choose to (assuming your controller has VU meters of course)… or am I missing something?

Just one of those things you have get used to.

On another note…THAT TABLET THING LOOKS UNREAL, I WANT ONE!

im currently learning scratching with my ns6 and thats when i have to do all three. its difficult but im slowly getting used to it. The reason i have to look at my screen is because i use the markers i set on my music which i cant set on the makeshift vinyl + i do not have a sample board atm either.
