    Not even remotely similar setups to compare… Do you want to spend $800 or $5000?

    Whilst price wise they are very different, they actually will operate very similar if running HID. I’m making the assumption that you run Traktor as it would be the logical choice for the equipment mentioned above. Thats also assuming that you would be running a software setup too. The S4 does have the ability to do a little more effects wise (ie chaining effects) but that’s not to say the 900 mixer doesn’t have pretty solid effects too.

    I am looking at it as the djm900nexus is a much better mixer and piece of dj gear…I also really like the effects section. I think i found a common ground than the s4 with the djm900nexus and the X1 BECAUSE i really like the mixer and hotcutes, loops and effects knobs.

    If I had the cash to burn I would probably buy that same setup too.
