    I haven’t really seen whats underneath the button to see if you can get away without but its a big red flag if the button is missing…often the cue and the play buttons get beat up after a lot of heavy use and then they can have problems like sticking or not responding

    I appreciate the reply. I’m going to be checking out the CDJ next week. We’ll see if it works out. You never know what people do to used equipment. Some hands-on time should help. Again, Thanks for the reply.

    You can buy a new button. And get the contact switch underneath it replaced too. An authorised Pioneer repair shop should have them. But those things cost money, so consider that when crunching the numbers.

    I did indeed find some one who has the parts/button covers and switch’s alike. I ended up getting the cdj’s, as they both were in decent shape and affordable, which is good for some one learning the technology for the first time. Thanks for the reply. Always appreciated.
