    Hi and welcome to the forums.
    Yes the mixtrack pro is a good choice, many have begun DJing with it and you can try all of the major softwares with it.

    As for soundcard:
    the mixtrack pro has an audio interface, so you do NOT need an extra soundcard.
    the mixtrack (without pro) has no audio interface and hence you would need a soundcard extra.

    Thanks Terry! I bought it 🙂 Now I can’t figure out how to get one track to play out of my computer and the other to play on my headphones. Right now they are both only coming out of my headphones. Do you know what to do??

    Go into the settings of your software and check if the output settings are correctly configured.
