Very good and do not be too frustrated about the drug thing, it was not your fault. Drugs are bad and you should not feel bad when bad people do bad stuff.

Drugs are apart of the scene man…your gonna have to get used to it…Especially playing Dubstep as its is well KNOWN to be associated with Drugs like Ketamine, Cocaine and Mdma/Ecstacy. Its Underground Raver music…and well you are gonna attract the Underground Raver crowd with it.

IMO the move to kick everyone out of the bar that was doing drugs was a really bad call on the Bouncers behalf. Working in
a place like that and thinking that drugs are not going to happen is naive…and kicking them all out is bad for business.

All these things are totally out of your control…and the fact you got a call back means that you are doing something right.

The Club scene and Booze/Drugs go hand in hand and always will….Dont get frustrated at the things you cant control, and concentrate on making the things you can control go 10000%

It wasn’t the taking of the drugs that frustrated me, I totally understand that this is the scene I’m in, and this is what to expect. It was the fact that the bouncers kicked all of the out that got me. Because it just knocked everyone back a few pegs. If the bouncer hadn’t of kicked all of those people out, I’m sure the party would have been totally amazing. Instead, it was amazing for me, and a handful of others.

Probably not the best experience for your first gig, but as Hee Won Jung pointed out, shit like that happens. Being devil’s advocate, the bouncers have a responsibility to throw those kind of people out, but there isn’t anything you can do about it. Thing is though, considering you got such a good response, I wouldn’t really worry about it.

At the end of the day, the fact that you got great response, and really enjoyed it is a great sign. You’ve gotten a taste for it now, and once you get that, you’ll have the passion and drive to improve your skill, and go out hunting for that buzz again.

Congrats on the first gig all the same. Onwards and upwards buddy. 😉

Not every set can go perfectly and atleast it was stuff that was more or less out of your control. This won’t be the last time so just concentrate on the music. Don’t let it discourage you.

I’m surprised the bouncers kicked everyone, especially how hand in hand what they were doing goes with alcohol. My first gig was really similar except they just let it slide as long as they kept under control. But hey, as long as whatever you did worked (which it clearly did) is all that matters. There’s plenty of parties always waiting to happen!
