A quick way of seeing if you actually fried your PSU in your laptop or if there is just a residual charge making it so your laptop wont turn on is:

Unplug the battery from your laptop…press the powerbutton down for 30 seconds to release the trickle charge still left in the bios battery…then plug in your power supply without the battery plugged in. If the Laptop turns on then you have reset the bios batter charge and you should be able to plug the laptop battery back in and it will start recharging. If this doesnt work then it is a serious issue and you will need to get it sent it.

TBH though…any 200 dollar laptop these days will be able to run most DJ software.

I used to use an old Toshiba A660 that i bought on kijiji for 200 bucks. If my screen had not gotten smashed in a gig it would still be my DJing laptop today…but now its just my home media computer that i plug into my TV.
