Atomix won’t tell, but my money is on the BPM expo later in the year being the stage for release to gain the most attention. so it will probably still be a little while yet but VDJ Pro on PC is more than capable of doing anything other programs can do, it can actually do more than any other dj software currently available, the only exception is the remix decks but you could make a workaround to get the same end result but not as good implementation.

The BPM Expo in Birmingham, UK, Oct. 6 through the 8th? Geesh, I need a new controller now, but was trying to hold out for the new VDJ release to see what else might accompany it. Dunno if I can wait that long!

virtualdj 8 is going to be shipped with the new hercules remix 2 which be released to the public mid august so im guessing the release for the vdj 8 software is the same

nah, hercules will be upgraded to VDJ8 LE when it gets released by atomix, but initially the controller gets released with VDJ7 LE.

Atomix announced on their Twitter feed this morning to expect major leaks and such at the show next week. Follow the tag #GameChanger for the latest, as they seem to be teasing the tweets and then deleting them a few hours later.

Latest update from Atomix staff – Version 8 is being previewed today at the AC Expo and testing on it continues to go well. In the meantime, because it is taking longer than planned to roll out version 8, they are releasing version 7.1 which will have improved controller support and some other yet unspecified features.

The rumour is that V8 has had some significant changes to the GUI, so I’m excited to see some videos start popping up from the preview sessions today.

Hmm… Odd. I posted a few preview videos of version 8, but they seem to have disappeared. Anyway, to anyone interested, there are 4 and you can find them on YouTube.
