I think you need to lower you expectations regarding what traktor will operate like with third party non-endorsed hardware. Changing versions of reloop controllers to the TM2 will not change that, the only bonus I can see is there may be a possible upgrade to a more open version of itch/scratch live… But that is only an unsubstantiated rumor.
I know I’m a fanboy, but VDJ Pro will give you tight fully functional integration of the DJ3, TM2/4, NS6, DDJS1, VCI-400 etc… only excluding the Native Instruments Kontrol series with almost endless modification possibilities, at the expense of having worse integration of the effects, but many more possibilities to incorporate the in the software if you use Windows.
There was fantastic review by Phil on the blog of the Terminal Mix 4 which he covered the main differences between the TM2 and TM4 as they are basically the same thing.
