The mixtrack pro is a great beginner unit but now a whole world of possibilities has opened up to you

I like my S2. My only gripe is that there is no dedicated filter knob.

i love my S2 too! lol ….regarding the filter/gain knob…I only use it as a filter since I have traktor set up as auto gain there is no need to use it as a a gain knob.

FatCat, if you go into the settings you can swap the gain control to filter.

Can’t remember which sub-heading it’s under, but it’s definitely there, if you can’t find it google it.

Thats a pretty brave move…I often find auto gain can be off quite a bit sometimes

actually you can hold shift and use the gains as a filter or you can swap the gains for a filter and use shift for gains.

True, but the clickyness of the gain knob annoys the hell out of me when using the filter for some reason/

I don’t use samples so I remapped the sample-volumeknob to filter and “A” to activate filter on deck A and “B” to activate filter on deck B.

Yeah, I don’t use the gains as filters anyway. I have my first fx unit all things for changing sounds with filter:92, reverb, and flanger and my second for chopping up beats with gater, beatmasher, and beatslicer.

i make minor adjusments when needed but for the most part have it on. Havent noticed anything to drastic that woul dstop me from doing otherwise.
