    Get the trial versions of VDJ, Traktor and Ableton. Then see what floats your boat best.
    There is no best software or specific software for a style. Each software package of the big ones (and some smaller ones) are really good. The difference is more in what you prefer and what best supports your workflow.
    I think every DJ has his own workflow and style to work on his equipment and therefore what works for me, might be crap in your book…

    Thanks for your input. I have tried out Ableton which seamed really complicated and VDJ which i thought was a bit amateurish but i think both experiences were tainted as i do not have a controller yet and i cant get my head around using a computer keyboard. I am gonna try Traktor out see what happens i wanted to hold out on buying a controller untill i decided on a software package. the cost of the kit etc is not a real issue for me but i dont want to spend my cash on something i dont get on with which im finding to be a bit of a stumbling block.
