If you mean the tempo seems to freeze on the same track you previously adjusted, can’t say I’ve ever had that happen. Maybe an odd setting in the software somewhere? Or your USB ports freezing up?

If you mean after loading a new track it seems to lock – that is a software setting – and one I turned off as it annoyed me when I switched over to digital. Basically whatever pitch the song is locks in until the slider is moved back to the zero position, and then it kicks in again. Like I said, turned it off and haven’t looked back. Everything reacts as I would expect now…

firstly thanks for replying. Much appreciated….i think youve partly answered my question… the master track thats playing..after not touching the tempo slider for over 30 seconds or more the tempo freezes…i have to move the slider back to zero again….and then re adjust…it only freezes if i dont touch the slider for more than 30 seconds to a minute or more.

    i will keep trying again…

How do İ turn off the tempo lock when loading new track as you mentined earlier..by the way im only currently using Traktor 2 LE..i only just got my new controller and its the first time ive used the software.

I think you’re talking about what happens when you switch tracks. Say you have deck A playing so you cue and beatmatch deck B using the pitch fader to match deck A. B’s pitch fader is now non-zero. You’ll then cue the new deck A track and play that one, followed by loading a new track to deck B. Deck B’s pitch fader is already out of place since you cued it up last time. It’s in this instance that you now have to bring B’s pitch fader back to zero before you can adjust the track’s tempo (This is at least what happens with my current Traktor Pro 2 settings–you have to bring the controller value to match the software value before anything happens. The new track loads in the software with the software’s pitch fader at zero regardless of where the controller’s is, so you have to bring the controller’s fader up/down to match the software’s before any tempo changes are made).

There’s a setting in Traktor, think its under the decks preferences, to reset pitch after load (or similar). Play around with this and I think that will fix your problem.
