    OK when you’re mixing at a desk in you bedroom or a tiny tiny room. As soon as its anything bigger and there’s a few people in the room, you will find this system will be drowned out or distorting. you’d be surprised how well human bodies soak up sound

    i’m buying a numark dm 1050 off someone on craigslist. looks like an inexpensive decent mixer?

    Its an entry level scratch mixer. Decent sound but a weak fader thats notorious for breaking with any actual scratching, mixing should be ok though. I have a feeling it only has phono inputs so make sure this will suit you. that probably means no digital gear apart from DVS systems.
