Personally I love the Twitch, but you’ll have to be sure you don’t want jogs first.

I have tried jogs, and I can’t say it sounded better with them.
So the Twitch is a good choice?

Its not a matter of sounding better, its the interface that counts.

I wasn’t talking about sound quality. I just didn’t think my mixes sounded any better when i played with jogwheels. Sorry for the confusion.

If you are prepared to get the beatgrid, BPM etc for every tune you play perfect then the twitch is an excellent controller but for a lot of traditional DJ techniques, scratching and for riding out tracks if something is wrong with the beatgrid, jogs are pretty essential. I won’t buy a controller without them but thats just my preference.

I totally agree with Stello, I just could not live without jogs. It is not about scratching, as I very seldom do it and am not really a good scratch DJ, but it is about nudging 🙂 as I am to lazy to alter beatgrids in a set and just manually nudge it right instead of using sync.

I don’t see why would it be that bad for a beginner to get twitch…however I do suggest taking time with cdj-interface for practice. You can nudge with twitch too, but its a bit different with touchstrips. I’d go for twitch from those 2.

We have a DJ booth at our school, using CDJs and schtuff. I’ve been practising there for a while now. I just came home like 20 minutes ago from a party we held for our school, so I did do some DJing there.

And I think I will buy the Twitch, it’s alot cheaper. I don’t feel like paying that much, the Kontrol S2 isn’t worth the extra $160. At least not for me.

So I just wanted to put out an update.
I went for the Kontrol S2 because of Traktor. I am more used to Traktor than to Itch.
It should be arriving this monday.

    Cool story bro.

I went the other way, instead of S2 I went for a Twitch because of syncing with Ableton and Bread’s mapping for the Twitch for Traktor.
