Traktor Controllers

yeah its a painful decision… i mean i have been going throu the same…and the more you look the harder it gets.. there should be a forum telling you what ure best options are with certain budgets. its abit like digital music…the industry is swamped with controllers now… my advice is to go for a controller that has been making dj equipment for 15-20 years..they have the knowledge and they make controllers that last. the S4 is going to be out of date when traktor pro 3 comes out… which is probably soon cau they have drop t2 down to $79

if you want an answer then you need to know what you want… do u want a completely midi controller or do you want to be able to hook up cdjs turntables

Check out Phil’s guide. Its pretty detailed. I would have to disagree with Maximlee about getting equipment thats is from a manufacturer as most of the best controllers out there are not made by brands that meet this criteria. Traktor 2 isn’t going anywhere for a while…they are just about to release 2.5 which took a lot of development. The price drop was just a grab at market share before 2.5 comes out.
Whilst the build quality is decent (although not the most robust) there is no controller, in my opinion, that is as tightly integrated with Traktor as the Kontrol S4 (or S2).
The VCI-400 is a really nice controller but be prepared to do some mapping to get it working well with Traktor.
