yes, you can beat juggle with a controller

the trick is to put “jump to active hotcue” on the jogwheel, and then make a modifier to turn it on or off.

Many people who have come to appreciate what I can do started out just like you, doubting it, and/or perceiving it in a different way than it was intended. To put my work into context, everything I do and have done has been to lead up to “mobile gear”, battery powered mobile, take it to college in your backpack so you can go to your friends house between classes and scratch, grab it out the trunk of your car when you stay the night at your girl’s house and your TTs are at home, mobile. This is what I’ve been working towards. No, it’s not perfectly refined yet, because I’m literally defining it as we speak(type, haha) Know why you don’t see big names doing tricks on midi? cause that shit is difficult, that’s why. Those jog wheel are defined by a specific resolution, which means, that even though it’s a circle, it’s still broken down into a specific number of positions, and the track, or “playhead” as it might be thought of, “Jumps” from one position to the next. This is why scratching and juggling are difficult with midi. But I feel, that if I make the right controller and explain to guys where it fits into their lives(see the above situations) then they will want one.

yep, I agree. it’s a challenge to go small but not too small.
these are old-style slots around the edges jogs. More modern controllers use what could be thought of as “mouse sensor agianst a ‘tick printed’ ring”
However, I’ve come up with a way to do infinite, which is actually quite simple. I’m surprised nobody else ever thought of it, but unless I can get some real funding, it won’t get made.

they’re vtt 101s, and the crossfader is from one of them. I like the vtt 101 cf, because it has curve, which is advanced feature for such an inexpensive controller.
