Well, you are legaly owner of a copy of the tunes so why not just download them so you get them in digital mode?
You have already payed for the tune……….

If you are just starting out DJing, some of the most fundamental things are going to take time to learn (such as beatmatching) Taking small breaks to convert some vinyl to digital will give you some time in betweeen praticing so you don’t burn out.

My suggestion would be to kinda of import the vinyl in order or importance or start with whatever you would actually play first.

Well if you have a second computer that can handle the Ripping process you can play around on your new software while your vinyl is playing. If you got a program like Traktor, there is a lot of stuff to dig into. I agree with starting with the stuff you are likely to play first and then working your way back to the more obscure stuff. Also don’t look at it like a wall of music. Narrow it down to converting 5 – 10 records/night. If you do that every day at the end of a week, you will have ripped 70 records and by months end almost 300 or more. Plus I guarantee that you will find some treasures that you forgot about.

I think your wall of sound analogy is excellent, i think thats how ive viewed it all along and it quite simply overwhelmed me, i know that some people said that I should just buy the digital version but that to me seems a waste of money when i can i do super high quality rips of it myself. Nevertheless i will set a target of 5-10 records a week.
