Buying old sound equipment (subwoofers)

Visually check them for rips etc, look inside the cabinet for signs of burning or the smell of burning, check their movement (when you gently push the come, does it move “in and out” ok), run your finger round the rims of the cones to see how dirty they are. Then make a judgement call.

Oh, and listen to them!
