My Omni has been faultless, i like you tend to play trancey / progressive and dont scratch.
The better build quality & amount of controls that i could individually map was the winner for me, i dont think i really miss the touch sensetive jogs as they are just used for cuing and pitchbending
Its stood up to a LOT of abuse AND it fits in the back section of my Thinkpads carry case with my entire kit, less headphones. But i do have some smaller fold down cans that will fit in the bag.
The sound? I’d say its very good but judge for yourself – bear in mind this was recorded at a low 128 kbps to fit inside mixcloud’s limits

I also cant fault the Omni-Control, had it for about a year, broke off the cross-fader knob but that was mainly due to drunken stupidity 🙂 Played good few house-parties and one small sized club with it and cant fault the sound-card either, its always delivered. I’ve never felt that the knobs were too close together, never had a problem on that score, cant comment on the mixtrack Pro but can defo recommend the Omni, good luck 🙂

I have on rare occasions caught the jogs to brutally honest, but never enough to cause a trainwreck.. at worst its sounded like when vinyl jumps

Mixtrack Pro has immeasurably better jogs. the Omni is quite an old controller nowadays.

Thanx for all the input guys. I know the omni is an older model, but it seems noticably better in every aspect apart from the jog wheels. Phil, let me ask it like this, if you take the jogs out of the equation, which is better?

Omni is better built, for sure.
