ParticipantI would imagine Master Out 1 is the spot for the main output. 2 is probably a booth output.
Try that…if it doesn’t work, then go into the Traktor preferences and check to see where the program is telling the sound to go.

MemberDoesn’t matter which output you use, they are just for different connections – one’s a jack plug output and the other is your red and white phono lead outputs.
You don’t mention an amplifier… you have got an amp connected haven’t you…. ?
Presuming that you’ve got your lead from Master Out 2 going to your amp, and you have selected the correct channel on your amp for that input, then it could be a software problem.
Your outputs under ‘Preferences’ on Traktor need to be set to DDJ-T1 Master L and DDJ-T1 Master R, but mine does this automatically when I power up the controller.
Have you also checked the mixer? Fader up, crossfader in the middle, filters turned off (that one’s caught me out before now) and Main volume knob turned up.
Let me know how you get on.

MemberAudio device is set to : Pioneer Ddj asio asio (on audio setup)
output master i set it to ddjt1 L ddjt1 R (output routing)
output monitor is my headphones (output routing)
output master is the ddjt1 L and ddjt1 R (output routing)input routing all is “not connected” except channel 4 which has aux/mic

Memberall the basic buttons like crossfader channel volume main volume is all set to the right place.
is it possible that the red/white cables are faulty? or is that something that is very very unlikely.
(i found them in the back of a cupboard who knows how old it is,) but could that really be the issue, i dont have another cable to check.August 25, 2011 at 6:03 pm #6345Jem

That all sounds fine mate, have you checked your mixer settings like I said?

MemberJust checked and that’s exactly the same as mine. SO… we’ve established it’s not your software settings…
Are your faders up, cross fader in the middle, main volume turned up, volume on your speakers turned up?
If your speakers have built in amps, they must be set to ‘Line’ not ‘Phono’ if there’s an option.. ?

Hmm… that all looks spot on.
It must either be an issue with your speakers or an issue with your output…
Do you have another source that you can test your speakers with?
August 25, 2011 at 6:15 pm #1001499DanielH
Memberyes! you just reminded me of an old piece of equipment i have ill test the speaskers on those. if it doesnt work it is the speaker. thanks buddy ill let you know in 5 how it goes.

MemberOk i just tested the other equipment and it doesnt work on that either.
i believe that the cable is faulty as when i connnect it nothing happens both on the controller or on the other piece of equipment, normally you would hear some kind of distortion noise or a small crackle but with these nothing! what do you think?August 25, 2011 at 6:32 pm #1001500Jem
MemberWhat are the speakers you’re using? Do they have their own leads or do you connect a lead to them and a lead to the source?
Just a thought, but if they are powered speakers (i.e. they have the amps built in) they need to be plugged in to the mains as well to give the amps power – have you got them plugged in and switched on?
