If you want to get into scratching, the vci-300 is better suited for that, the response between the controller and itch is great!
I have the first vci-300 so if you have any questions, just ask.

Hi, thanks for your advice. I was also recommended tog get Numark NS6, since its 4 deck, jog wheels are really good and you get much more control than from plain vci-300mk2. What you think?

Go for the 300. It’s better for a beginner. Itch is better software for a beginner than Traktor, and you can’t use the 100 with Itch. Plus, you would also have to MIDI map the 100 to work with Traktor, which presents another obstacle for the complete beginner.

If you are going to learn how to scratch I think you really need 2TTS and a DVS system with timecode!
    SSL or Traktor Scratch duo/pro……….

My vote is for the ‘300 too.

well now that Serato has its “Intro” software that supports the VCI-100mk2 it might be worth considering having access to the best of both worlds (Traktor and Serato)
