Beatport & Loopmasters Team Up To Take On Sample Pack Market

Beatport and Loopmasters have joined forces in a move that could shake up the lucrative loops and samples industry.

Online music store Beatport and sound pack shop Loopmasters have just announced a partnership that will see the two giants working closely together. Beatport will be integrating Loopmasters products into the Beatport site, making it easy for DJs to find both full songs and sample packs in one place. The first product to cross over will be Loopcloud, the cloud-based sample library manager released last year by Loopmasters.

It’s an interesting development because sample packs are big business – they’re a good source of passive income for DJ/producers, and they also fuel the growth of electronic / digitally produced music. Other key players in this space include Native Instruments’ Sounds.com and Splice – but with Beatport joining forces with Loopmasters, the two long-running dance music brands may just have enough together to corner the lucrative sample pack market.

What are your thoughts on this partnership between Beatport and Loopmasters? Let us know in the comments.
