Serato Tips & Tricks: What To Do If You Load A Track Onto The Playing Deck

That feeling when you just accidentally loaded a 60s oldie onto the active deck in the middle of a house set... and how to fix it.

So we’ve all been there – you accidentally drag a track onto the playing deck in your DJ software instead of into the deck you’re intending on lining up, and the track you’re currently playing to your audience stops to be replaced by whatever it is you just loaded.

While it is possible to blanket disable this kind of thing from happening in the Preferences, sometimes that in itself can be annoying, as remembering to press “stop” before loading a new track when you are in a hurry is an extra step the 999 times out of 1000 when you’re not being daft. So instead, try the little trick I show you in this video instead.
