DJ Skill Sessions #17: Chance The Rapper vs Backstreet Boys – Serato DJ Routine

Carlo Atendido turns to Serato and DVS decks for this week's Skill Session, and starts with... Backstreet Boys!

Carlo Atendido turns in another exclusive DJ Skill Session for us, cutting up Backstreet Boys, Chance The Rapper, SNBRN & DeBoer with his usual mix of scratch-infused inventiveness.

Watch this on YouTube

Watch how he uses Pitch Play (a feature of Serato’s Pitch ‘n Time function) and the slicer (or “beatslicer”). Also look out for how he plays two copies of the same tune a beat apart, and uses the crossfader to cut between them. The echo effect and using the filter to adjust the listeners’ attention complete another sound mix

Did you like this routine? What mixing techniques would you like to see us feature here? Let us know below.
