DJ Skill Sessions #12: Using Cue Play & Filters To Tease A Track In – Serato Routine

Underground house and classic electro collide in this fun and easy to learn cue play routine performed by our very own Phil Morse.

This DJ Skill Sessions routine is an example of how mapping cue points to individual notes in a riff, and then playing a new riff using those notes (while slowly filtering the track into the mix) can tease your crowd before giving them what they want. Works every time!

Featuring a funky house track mashed up with a stone-cold electro-pop classic, this cross-genre technique is really easy for you to do in your own DJing, no matter what controller or software you use. Give it a try!
