DJ vs Playlist: What To Do To Stop Spotify Taking Your Gigs

Increasingly DJs are reporting to us that venues and even event clients telling them they'd rather hit play on a Spotify playlist than hire a DJ. Here's how to fight back...

It’s official – playlists and machines ARE taking DJs’ jobs. In this Tuesday Tips Live recording from Facebook, we looked at three things you can do to fight back!

Basically, you can make it as easy as possible to work with you, make sure you add value, and then do stuff that playlists can’t do (techniques, reading the crowd, body language, microphone work, and so on…) then at least for now, you can differentiate yourself from playlists.
