Traktor Pro 2.11.2 Released, Adds Support For Native Access

Native Instruments just launched a new version of Traktor Pro 2 that brings compatibility with Native Access, a direct replacement to its long-running Service Center installation app.

Native Instruments just released an update to Traktor Pro 2. Now at 2.11.2, it brings compatibility with Native Instruments’ Native Access installer app. It replaces Native’s ageing Service Center program and introduces a friendlier interface: one-click installs are available for Native Instruments apps including along with a tab that lets you see available updates and lets you download and install them quickly and easily.

Native Access also has instant serial-free activation, meaning you no longer have to type or copy / paste serial numbers for software products in order to use them fully.

It’s good to see Native Instruments revamp its software installation and update process for Traktor. Its long-running Service Center app just felt like it was stuck in the past – it was tedious, and activating products with serial numbers and activation keys were a “necessary evil” that you just had to put up with when installing Traktor. Those are gone now thanks to Native Access, giving Traktor a fresh start at least as far as installing and updating go.

Will we finally get Traktor Pro 3 this year? We’ll just have to wait and see…

• Traktor Pro 2.11.2 is available as a free download. Check the Native Instruments site for more details.
