Native Instruments just announced that, for a limited time, every purchase of a Traktor Kontrol S4 now comes with Traktor Scratch Pro 2 software and timecode vinyl / CDs. Traktor Scratch Pro 2 is the DVS version of Traktor Pro 2 – that means you can hook up your turntables / DJ CD players to your Traktor Kontrol S4 and use special control vinyl / CDs to spin with music files on your computer.
DVS has been getting attention lately, with Pioneer DJ releasing DVS-ready mixers and a DVS box interface. It’s been a while since we’ve heard from the Native Instruments camp, and this promo is a nice offer, but is it enough to keep Traktor relevant in the eyes of digital DJs today?
