[BPM|PRO 2016] Reloop Mixon 4 djay Pro & Serato DJ Controller

Reloop’s new Mixon 4 is a four-channel DJ controller with a built-in iOS device slot to fit up to iPad Pro, that’s been designed to work with djay Pro software and Serato DJ.

Reloop has today announced its latest DJ controller the Mixon 4, a four-channel controller designed for Algoriddim’s djay Pro software and for Serato DJ software (which is why Reloop calls it a “hybrid” controller). The announcement comes ahead of this week’s BPM|PRO DJ Show in Birmingham, England.

The controller works with the two platforms across Mac, PC, Android and iOS (the latter two only with djay Pro), and packs in some of the latest features from both software platforms, such as Macro FX (filter plus an effect) and Pitch Play in Serato DJ, something only previously available on the Denon DJ MCX8000. It also has a key sync button to match tracks harmonically, much in the same way the beat sync does for tempo.

The controller has a slot at the back of the top panel that fits all flavours of iOS device up to an iPad Pro in landscape mode, so you can charge your iOS device while DJing with it. This alongside four channel control makes it unique among this type of controller, previous examples always only being two channel.

The Reloop Mixon 4 is the most “pro” controller for Algoriddim’s djay Pro software to date, and a decent addition to the selection of Serato DJ controller currently available.

• The Reloop Mixon 4 will cost £590 / €699 / US$799. More info at the Reloop website.
