If “no laptop required” is the buzzword of NAMM 2016, Gemini is putting its own twist on things, with a “no wires required” DJ controller: the Gemini Aria. Currently just a prototype, the device has a built in battery and works with iPad and any Bluetooth speakers for a completely cable-free set-up.
Whether the market is actually asking for something like this, and whether it’s going to be good enough to mix on wen you take into account two sets of Bluetooth latency – well, both remain to be seen – so watch this space for a finished, production version and a review once it’s out there.
