We swung by the Denon DJ booth at NAMM 2015 and got a taste of their new Axis Series Loudspeakers that were on demo. Axis comes in three models: The Axis 8, which features an 8″ woofer, the Axis 12 which has a 12″ woofer, and the Axis 12S, which is a companion subwoofer featuring a 12″ speaker. All three of them are active speakers, so a pair of either the Axis 8 or Axis 12, plus the Axis 12S, could be all you need to rock your next party.
These appear quite similar to Mackie’s DLM series of active compact speakers that were released last year, both models being designed to be lightweight and portable powerhouses.
