NAMM 2013: Pioneer DDJ-WeGO Users To Get Serato DJ Option

Serato DJ comes to Pioneer’s DDJ-WeGo, from ‘Q1 2013’, Serato announced today at the NAMM Show 2013.

Pioneer DDJ-WeGO owners will be able to use Serato software with their controllers as of “Q1 2013”, Serato announced today at the NAMM Show 2013.

Users will be able to download Serato DJ Intro from for use with their controllers, and will also be able to upgrade the software to the full Serato DJ package for US$129. The announcement solidifies further Serato’s apparent effort to make its software available for as many top-selling consumer controllers as it can.

A paid-for Serato DJ licence is “transferable”, meaning if you were to upgrade to another controller later on that also supports the software you could “carry” your licence with you. This support will be followed by further Serato DJ support for other controllers including the Numark N4, Numark MixDeck, Numark MixDeck Express, Numark MixDeck Quad, Vestax VCI-400, Vestax Typhoon and Vestax VCI-100 Mk2, in a gradual rollout.

Are you a Pioneer DDJ-WeGo user who’ll now look to give Serato DJ a go on your controller? Please let us know your thoughts in the comments.
