Terminal Mix 2: New 2-Deck Serato Controller From Reloop

Reloop Terminal Mix 2

The Reloop Terminal Mix 2: Two decks of Serato control, new for 2012.

German manufacturer Reloop today announced a new DJ controller: The Terminal Mix 2. It’s a little brother to its already previewed Terminal Mix 4 Serato controller. Looking remarkably similar to the company’s equally high-end Jockey 3 controller for Traktor Pro 2, this time it is licensed for Serato, comes with Intro, and boasts several innovations of its own.

Features include gain and filter per channel, improved library access, crossfader curve adjustment, 15.5mm vinyl-covered aluminium platters, booth output, and two layers across the eight performance buttons for sample deck control, cue points and smart looping. There are hi-res pitch faders, and the microphone (with EQ) can be routed various ways including through software. There is one external input, which can be switched between phono and line, and as well as booth output there are balanced and unbalanced master outs.

No word on price or availability as yet.

Is this the Serato controller you’ve been looking for? What price do you think it should come in at? Will you be holding on to your money until its released a little later this year? Let us know in the comments!
