Pioneer DDJ-ERGO-V Now Supports Algoriddim’s djay 4

Pioneer has today at NAMM 2102 announced that its beginner’s controller, the DDJ-ERGO-V, will soon be compatible with Algoriddim’s increasingly popular djay platform for Mac from Algoriddim.

That means that not only does the DDJ-ERGO-V now come with Virtual DJ and Serato Intro in the box, and Traktor Pro 2 compatibility via its own mapping, but it also now works with arguably the fourth largest DJ software as well.

As djay is only a two-deck system, this will only allow you to DJ with two decks on the DDJ-ERGO-V, and we wait with curiosity to see how well they’ve matched djay’s novel effects system to the controls on the DDJ-ERGO-V.

Here’s Pioneer’s official promo video:

Are you a DDJ-ERGO-V user? Are you glad about this? Are you a djay user who’s pleased to see the spread of your favourite software? Are you a PC user who wished djay wasn’t only for OSX? Let us know your thoughts below.
